If you’re willing to dismiss research on the grounds of funding source (a bias on its own), then you’d have to be consistent & dismiss most diet/nutrition research in existence, including any beloved reviews/studies that support your own opinions.

Also, go find out how much it costs to carry out a tightly controlled study and then do a longer on your own. Another option is to do a crappy observational study that only tells correlation rather than causation.
